Mission Brief: 3-Minute "Write Your Own" Eulogy Cheatsheet

Because waiting until you're dead is a bit late.

So, write your final line first.

Set a timer. 3 minutes. No editing. Just guts on paper.

🏆 Step 1: Start with the End (30 sec)

“[Your Name] will be most remembered for...”
→ How do you want to be remembered?
Not what people would say now — what you wish they’d say.
Think legacy, not LinkedIn.

“He always showed up. Especially when it sucked.”

⚡️ Step 2: Your Greatest Hit (1 min)

Tell one story that captures your essence.
Big or small — doesn’t matter. What moment screams “you”?
Could be saving a friend. Could be not texting back your ex.

“He once gave away his bonus to cover a teammate’s rent. Then ghosted the credit.”

💪 Step 3: What You Stood For (45 sec)

Boil it down. What hill did you die on (figuratively... or not)?
What did you believe so hard it shaped how you lived?

“He believed people matter more than profit. His made his family most important ... even more than tacos and cortados ... THAT's true love.”

📣 Step 4: The Last Line (45 sec)

Mic drop. What’s the final takeaway you want burned into brains?
It can be raw, real, funny, or just plain true.

“She didn’t do it perfectly. But she showed up. Full heart, no brakes.”

Bonus Rule:

Don’t write what sounds nice. Write what feels true.
You’re not writing this for your funeral (unless you really want to).

You’re really writing it to live better today and for a future worth living.
