Horween Color 8 Two-Piece Strap
ONE MADE. ONCE IT’S GONE, IT’S GONE.
Most watch straps are designed so the next one can look exactly like the last one.
This one wasn’t.
For the first Redux Prototype Division drop, we start with a piece of Horween Color 8 leather and the build simple: a single layer of leather, raw edges, minimal gray hand stitching and our original Redux titanium hardware.
The result is a strap that singular.
WHY HORWEEN COLOR 8?
Horween Leather Company has been tanning leather in Chicago since 1905, using traditional processes and finishes that allow the natural character of the leather to remain visible rather than hiding it beneath a perfectly uniform surface.
And Color 8 is something special.
It’s a deep oxblood-burgundy that is notoriously difficult to capture in a photograph. Depending on the light, this piece moves from wine-red to brown to almost black, with subtle highs and lows across the leather.
That variation is exactly why we chose it.
This isn’t a strap meant to stay looking factory-new. Wear it. Bend it. Mark it. Let it become yours.
BUILT WITH LESS, ON PURPOSE
There’s no padding, edge paint or unnecessary layering here.
Material honesty.
We used a single minimal layer of Horween leather to keep the strap supple, and showcase the leather and titanium.
The strap was hand stitched in New York City using minimal gray waxed-thread knots chosen to complement the raw titanium hardware.
At the tail, there’s only one mark: the RDX mark.
The end is finished with our angular half-hex cut — a small nod to the gear-shaped visual language that runs through Redux hardware.
