COURG : Type-B with American Leather Strap

I am totally in love with this watch. I have been wearing it for quite a bit now. Reading the time is super easy. The build of the watch is of quality. I also bought the black leather band to go with it and I am highly impressed. I personally do not take it off other than for a shower as I have my Fitbit attached to it, but even then I still wear it to sleep. This is the best everyday watch you can buy.

despite the many compliments I get every time I wear it, the bezel has a bit of play, and the crown screw threads don't engage as smoothly as I would expect, leaving the possibility of a cross-thread.

I have plenty of watches. Different prices and sizes. My favorite is my courg type b. Why? The size is perfect it’s so comfortable on my wrist, weighs almost nothing, basically a perfect purchase. I am going to get myself another one for sure.

In 3 days, I will have been officially trying to return your watch BACK to you for over 30 days... hands down the worst customer service of 2017.
Period. And I’m still not done with my return. No working phones, no sorry, no nothing. Get me off this ship!!!

Love the watch. Fits great on the wrist and you don't know it's even there.

Quality time piece

It's a clean and accurate titanium watch. Light. I like it very much!!!!. Nice overall package,with its box and storing "wallet".I will return to buy a leather band.Thank you very much for cooperation!

I picked up two variants of this watch and love them. My only complaint is that they could have a larger face. My wrists aren't massive but I'm used to wearing larger watches. The mechanics are solid, I've never had to adjust the time on either watch.

I was one who had the bezel fly-off/spring disappear problem... like some of you. So here's a quick update- for those of you awaiting word(s) from new service rep. It took several months after I shipped watch back to NY for repairs- and what seemed to be a trip for the watch to HK and back- but mine did arrive repaired. It works fine, and keeps time pretty accurately. And for you "attention to detail fans," I shipped my watch on my own NATO strap (forgot to remove it before I wrapped it for shipping). And, to my delight, band came back with the watch.

It's a clean little titanium watch. Light, dependable. I like it. Nice overall package.

So my long awaited Grade 5 Type B with Date and Zero Hour with Date arrived today. They came with both a natural and color 8 horween strap. So the bad stuff first.
No shocker, the bezel has some play and the lume triangle doesn't look super professional. In retrospect I wish when the vote was up I had voted for the bead, gonna have to eat it on that one. That said, it isn't "that bad" some users are blowing it out of proportion, and with repeated use I think the bezel will probably loosen a little over time. That said if a bad ass bezel is what you need in a watch you will be disappointed.
Lume.... well it stinks. Funny story the crappy sort of sloppy triangle actually limes nicely and is very bright and visible. The face of the watch? Nope. It ends up being more of a dull blueish grey color. It still looks okay but I wouldn't take it on a dive where you need good lume. For every day stuff it will pass muster just fine.
Specific to the type B, I am mildly put off by the blue on the end of the second hand. I thought it would be be more of a navy or just dark blue.... Instead it is again sort of a blue grey color that doesn't look "bad" but doesn't do it for me as much as I thought it would and it sort of a washed out color.
Horween straps are.... shorter and thicker than I expected. I have an 8 inch wrist and I can't get the strap for the color 8 on at all, and the natural will only go to hole 2. Good thing I planned to give the color 8 to my much thinner wristed brother. They are definitely too thick also, getting them through the strap hardware is not the easiest thing in the world. These issues are Worn and Wound's problem though, not the Redux's Team.
So on to nice things....
The Crown is .... surprisingly perfectly fine. I am not sure where a lot of users are coming from with their complaints or if I just got lucky, or maybe I am just more experienced with watches. The crown has nothing wrong with it. It has a little bit of play to it yes, but if you keep a firm grip and apply some force but not too much it will work swimmingly with little to no issue. I had no issue pulling it out, winding it, setting date/time, and getting it back in.
The Grade 5 Titanium is NICE. It gives a great distinct patina and look to the watch. I showed one to an avowed watch hater and even they could tell it was a different look that you normally see and complimented it.
The dials themselves are very well done. The Zero hour has a super clean look, the yellow second hand really pops, and I like the black hour and minute markers more than I thought I would. The Type B is busier but extremely easy to read, the markers are very clean, and isn't too cluttered even with the date window. The zero hour also has an unexpected twist where the numbers are actually a very light biege color and not true white, but it works nicely and I like it. The Type B is a very solid true white. Also for me everything lines up cleanly, nothing is off center or if it is you would have to look very closely to see it. Kudo's!
The packaging is pretty much boss. There is not a ton to say here, the watch folio is great, the box is neat, everything was in perfect shape and fits snug as a bug in a rug. Very well done.
Overall I am satisfied and feel like this was a worthy project and money well spent. Is it is a better watch than my Bathy's? No, but it cost less too ;) I am looking forward to Redux's future projects especially considering the quality of this freshman entry.
