This Color 8 reverse side offers all the rugged durability and stretch-resistant-yet-supple nature of Cordovan, with an added unique character to each strap that will patina much more noticeably as you wear it in.

It keeps a record of your adventures and grows in character like you do.

What makes Cordovan so rugged is that it isn't the hide (outer layer). Cordovan is actually from the fibrous flat muscle layer underneath, which is more crease resistant also more waterproof.

This all adds up to a much longer-lasting strap than generic leather.

Horween marks their Cordovan leather hides with a black stamp. Very few straps bear the maker's mark optimally placed to add a bit of character.

We've hand selected the best of these and designated them in a special batch called Horween Signed.
